An older building with many layers of old flooring needed to be removed as part of a major renovation project. The client wanted a low maintenance, one of a kind “natural” finish floor to align with their corporate design philosophy.
We removed many layers of different types of flooring, glue & mastic. The floor was then ground, revealing a one-of-a-kind mix of aggregate rock. The slab was progressively ground in multiple directions with our 1400 lb grinders to flatten the surface and continue to reveal aggregate rock. A grout coat was next to fill small pin holes and defects, followed by multiple hone and polish steps with higher grit diamond tooling all the way up to 3000 grit! A deep penetrating sealer was applied to provide long lasting protection.
